When we personally test a product, we clearly explain what we tested and how we tested it.
When we have not tested a product ourselves, we do not describe it as hands-on tested.
That distinction is important to us.
Our Editorial Approach
Our goal is not to recommend the most expensive product or the product with the longest specification sheet.
A useful recommendation depends on the buyer.
A home user clearing occasional paperwork may have very different requirements from a small office processing documents every day. A person handling highly sensitive information may also need a different security level from someone shredding ordinary household paperwork.
